So, who was it? A lot of Blue Circle members are leaders in society, captains of business and/or industry, and so on. This guy’s death should make news for who he was.

A careless word, a speeding truck Guess this guy was …. out of luck The Blue Circle takes care of its own Their lethal skills have been honed A violent death for all to see I’m glad it wasn’t you or me A leading citizen struck down in his prime Because he wouldn’t toe the line The FBI is on the case Chasing suspects without a face And where is Annie in all of this Her presence here is really missed

    wndrwrthg,

It’s good to see more of your lilting rhythmic comment here on Annie.

    Keep on my friend.

One can’t help but notice that there never seems to be a dull moment in the Annie strip. A relative calm seems to arrive and suddenly there is unexpected action again.

    Full marks to Maeder !

Captains of industry never cross streets, at least not in movies. This is what chauffeured limousines are for.

In ‘thunderball’ the disposal of the incompetent spectre guy was a bit more spectacular…..a violent electrocution of the hapless badguy in the chair followed by a mechanical hum as the chair descended into the lower level . Another mechanical hum announced the ascension of the still smoking chair minus the charred former occupant. but getting run over works too!

The other members of the Blue Circle leaders should be wondering if something like that could happen to them.

That’s a problem with groupthink. Especially with evil truck drivers on the payroll.
