Hello, folks. I’m new here as far as commenting goes. I’ve been reading Annie since before any of you were born, probably.

My name is Floyd. This Annie is a trouble magnet, I think. Anyway, just want to say hello.

Welcome Floyd H., you have me beat. Yes, I get ‘Prince Valiant’ on line from Dailyink.com. The drawings are still wonderful. I also get ‘The Phantom’.

Leaky’s right, I also run a Nigerian banking scam, and a ‘your friend is stuck in Malaysia and needs $2500 right away so she can get home’ scam.

Dance for me my puppets! Do the bidding of your master! Dance, destroy, kill, KILL, KILL! BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHA! Hello, this thing on? Testing 321,123, testing testing.

Annie is trapped by the muscle-bound child Who looks as if he is going quite wild Twisted by his papa, he desires to kill Of blood and gore, he never gets his fill But the one thing that they do not know Whoever tangles with Annie soon gets laid low Such a veteran of dangerous mishaps is she They would do well to turn around and flee Their ignorance will certainly not be bliss As they receive fates ever so deadly kiss.

Thank you leaky, margueritem and Lonewolf.

Welcome Floyd H., we are harmless, really. Well, most of us, but you must look out for margueritem.

Nice having you here Floyd, Just beware of the Squeaky one, she/he might railroad you into verbal indescretions and then cast you as a “lurker” This boads version of “Anja Nu” a Play Director over in Dick Tracy. She ‘chats’ more than the real Actors are allowed here. As they say in the cartoons she Quacks too much ;-)

And if he keeps on coming, you’ll get the best poetic description of what happens every day, from wndrwrthg

And margueritem is the sitting Queen

There’s also a female guard here that carries a MI-5 (British Secret Service coding) “001” And she may by licensed to kill

Then, if you indulge in the ‘morning greetings’ thing, there are two posters that resent it, and one who masquerades as a gold coin may double over laughing and even call you a “sock puppet”, whatever the heck that means.

Post more often.Give your opinions !

Welcome, Floyd. I get my weekly PV dose at

    or

    http://www.newsok.com/entertainment/comics

The artistry is still fabulous. You have some years on me, but I, too, remember spreading the funnies out on the floor and kneeling down reading them through: Red Ryder, Kerry Drake, Archie, Li’l Abner… It kicked off a lifetime of reading for me. I wish I could find a real Li’l Abner site. Comics.com just repeats a small set of partial stories. I don’t know what’s up with that.

Thanks for the input folks. Just got up (8:00 A.M., Tucson, AZ). I shall go looking for the Prince V. today.

Oh, Bassmanbob, about your blooper alert: I bet you have fun with the movies. I’ve seen very few that didn’t have a blooper or two….. At least,

Monday, Monday, love it. Checking out the strips that tend to have a weekly story-line, like Doonesbury and Tank MacNamara.

Advice on ageing: It ain’t for sissies, but if you keep a bit of child in your heart (like reading the comics) it eases the way. Works for me.

Hi Floyd, I actually do enjoy looking for the bloopers in films. Quite a few directors place them in their movies on purpose. I get the impression from your post that you don’t approve of this. Sorry, but I certainly feel I’ve earned the right to point out mistakes with the strip if I feel like. I also enjoy looking for spelling errors, such as your mistake with the word aging. No e in it. (unless you’re a Brit I suppose) Golly good!

    LOL!!!

OK, I’m not so insecure that I have to point out that I discovered the hat blooper first, so I won’t say a word. Not one word. No way I’m going to say I was first. Nuh-uh.

Ray - No she didn’t have Sandy with her.

BassMan - I’m a lot like you. I look for those bloopers, too. I think it’s a lot of fun.
