Gene looks out at the water and thinks, "The beach is weird." Arlo thinks, "Crazy things happen." As Gene walks through the beach water, he thinks, "It isn't safe the way home is safe." Gene feels, "I don't ever want to leave!"
I feel that way almost every time I go to the beach. I read Jimmy went to the Gulf Coast when he was young. My favorite place in the world is Pensacola.
