Janis: Come on! Watch it with me!
Arlo: No...
Janis: It's very popular! Critics love it!
Arlo: It's a matter of principle.
Arlo: I see enough advertising!
Arlo: I refuse to watch a show about people who make advertising!
I well understand his point. I don’t watch a show about a serial killer who’s presented as limiting his kills to “bad people.” rather than the invariable reality that they’re amoral psychopaths capable of nothing but a manipulative relationship and having no use for society at all and immune to positive influence. Nor am I entertained by meth cooks, absolute scum. I deal with both types and their grief. If you can be amused by either, you’re perhaps fortunate but naive.
