One of my pet peeves, though minor, is someone asks me a question, I answer honestly, then I get a snide comment or unsolicited opinion or shocked look. Just accept my plain answer, thank you.
“(Our major local courses are Blackwolf Run & Whistling Straits.)”
About the only golf tournament I’ve seen live was at Whistling Straits, where the 2004 PGA Championship was won by Vijay Singh.I was rooting for Vijay, who was my favorite golf player. (Reporters kept asking him what he thought about the playing of Tiger Woods, who was also in the tournament. He replied that he was concentrating on his own game.)
FYI, Whistling Straits and Black Wolf run are courses in Sheboygan County, WI. They are sponsored by the Kohler company.
Actually, golf is the only sport I enjoy watching on TV (preferably near the end of the tournament). I can understand what’s going on, and manage to find a favorite I can root for. I don’t have athletic ability, and have noticed that, as a general rule, people without athletic ability are not that interested in sports.
