Arlo: The only person ever hit by a meteorite was an Alabama woman in 1954!
Arlo: She was sitting on her sofa!
Janis: You're just messing with me, aren't you?
“Prior to the modern era, a single account of meteorite-on-human violence exists. A 17th Century text tells of the death of a monk after being struck by a meteorite, with the meteorite striking him in the leg and breaking the bone.”
“none of them were actually hit by pieces of the meteorite. . .”The Widipedia entry on the woman in Alabama and the tenth comment (see below) state otherwise.

Two other case http://io9.com/5972221/what-happens-if-you-get-hit-by-a-meteorite
Problem is when you google it, many of the articles about the 1954 case are labeled “the Only Person….” but there are at least two other cases.
