Janis: Arlo! There's a frost advisory tonight!
Janis: You know what that means!
Arlo: All those potted plants outside are going to die!
Janis: If we don't bring them in!
Arlo: Isn't it sweet the way we complete each other's sentences?
I like winter, but I’m willing to enjoy Fall, first….But yeah, bring it on……..It was a fairly cool summer in these parts, which I like, so maybe it will be a cold and snowy winter, which I like too…..
Let ‘em die. I’m always happy when my flowers make it into mid-October, but frosts are now almost every night here, near the Canadian Rockies and at 3500’. I’m not fighting the inevitable anymore.
Arlo, if you really want to stay “warm”….you’ll help her bring the plants in….otherwise, make sure the electric blanket (perhaps on the couch) is in good working order.
Spider plants clean some nasty toxins out of the air and are pet safe. Aloe vera is great for kitchen burns and I’m not sure what an ice plant is but I’m wondering why you don’t have these guys indoors already.
Around here outside potted plants stay outside and indoor potted plants stay inside (unless I’m refeshing the dirt). Except for the patio tomatos, and my hubby is fond enough of vine ripened tomatos at Christmas he has no problem bringing that one in.

Arianne….
I’m not sure how often you get to the comics these days, or which forums you might visit… so I’m leaving this on a couple of them…
Just in case you stop by….

We have a papyrus plant that has to come in when the nights go below 55-F. Only one, but when it’s still full of water, that baby is heavy.

I’m about as partial to potted plants as I am potted meat (aka "redneck pâté ").
