Iâm the fourth of four kids. Thatâs pretty much the quality of the hand-me-down furniture I got from my folks when it came time to set up my first place.
When I was in elementary school we lived in a house that had 2 garage bays separated by a cinder block wall. One was used to store the lawn mower, bikes etc. the other was our club house. We found old furniture at the curb and dragged the stuff back to our house to fix the place up. No TV or lamps though. There wasnât any electricity. Today it would be called a BOY CAVE! It was our place where we could hang out with our friends and my mother didnât care how messy it was and NEVER went in there.
Me have man-cave now. Come to thinka it, I got me a man-HOUSE. Everybodyâs either dead or gone on with their own lives. Time to move to a smaller house. Panel #1 reminds me of my âguest bedroomâ with same set of drawers.
Panel two reminds me of the TV set-up we had when we first got married. The original âbig boxâ TV lost its sound, and a friend had a portable with no picture, so we turned on both of them at the same time.
A & J are my age â I cannot believe they do not have more furniture than they can use. I have enough stuff in my basement to fill two man caves, and more.

Arlo, you should have called Frank Cobb over at âJump Streetâ. His man cave is the gold standard.
