Arlo: I know what might motivate us to get out for a big evening! Arlo: We could buy expensive concert tickets that we wouldn't blow off! Janis: Don't you remember? We tried that! Arlo: Oh, yeh! I hope Jackson Browne bought himself something nice!
Back in the good old days, when I was working steady, I would buy season tickets for all the local theaters. I only ended up missing one show (Fosse) in 17 years due to illness because whether they were $15 or $85/seat, they were too expensive not to use. Many of the companies drastically scaled back their productions or have gone out of business altogether since the recession hit, so I don’t feel like I’m missing much.
