I’m suffering through the crud right now, but since I live alone and it’s not bad enough for me to end up in the hospital (like I usually do when my leg gets infected) I still have to do everything myself.

It got half of the “crud” fever, chills and slight headache for three days. Oh and a slight cough. No throat problems, no eating problems.

Elderberry has antiviral activity. Sambucol is an over-the counter extract. Umcka (another OTC), an extract of a South African geranium, reduces and shortens cold symptoms. I’ve been drinking a 2 ounce shot of elderberry wine most days since sometime in November, and I’ve been fine so far. It’s more fun than the extract, too.
