As is done so often in bridge, lets’ review the bidding. This week’s strip started with Arlo responding to Janice quoting an article on space colonization. For the past four days, Arlo has expressed some cynical views on the topic. He’s right, of course. At this point speculation about “mass colonization” of space is in the realm of science fiction. And his point about not moving everyone off the planet is well taken; as if we could. It is interesting that our taxes are keeping people employed searching for habitable planets out there in the cosmos. Don’t they know Sir Galahad had already found The Holy Grail?
Colonization is moot at this time. Maybe the Moon, maybe Mars, but in both cases they won’t be self sustaining. If they can do it on Mars, more power to them.
Human population will eventually come into balance because of lack of food, lack of fresh water, wars over same, and then some new plague that will depopulate.

If ain’t nobody going, it don’t matter you ain’t goin’ neither.
(Just as I wouldn’t pass any probable weight limit. Here I am, stuck with the neutered cat.)

Gonna need cats. Rats will find their way on board, no matter what precautions are taken.

I would hope we have learnt our lesson about the introducing invasive species into different habits by time we can travel into space

Got the meaning but still looked up high dudgeon, never heard of it before. Learned something new today, thanks!

Just don’t take any cockroaches with you to a new planet or space station.

I used to enjoy this strip. I wish Johnson would just get back to family and relationships. This is getting boring.

I don’t remember ever seeing a cat on Star Trek.
