Punk rock to Disney soundtrack doesn’t seem to be so big a trip these days…

Mine goes from…….actually, mine includes everything except rap, seriously heavy metal and country. Well, OK, I like Chet Atkins. And Johnny Cash.

There is some good music in every genre, except hip hop.

Aunty, I’m trying to make up my mind whether that range is eclectic or just plain eccentric!

I can’t be old. I still like rock and roll. As a teen in New York City, I use to tune in to the midwest stations on the AM dial. They would get the songs a week before they showed up in the Big Apple. Now AM is all talk radio and FM doesn’t carry that far.

If the full range of musical taste was measured in light years, Aunty, your music tastes would be a light microsecond.

From Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five to Esperanza Spaulding. And a lot in-between.

Metal to Muppets

You get such a bad Rap Auntie.

My musical taste covers about 1900 years, from Gregorian chant to modern-day “inkybinkyboinky” & minimalism. About the only “popular” music I listen to is art rock & prog rock & occasionally a little jazz & ambient. The closest I ever get to “country” is bluegrass & “old timey.”

Aunty likes to sing “Eep Opp Ork Ah-Ah!!” while bathing (Song from the Jetsons).

I’m very eclectic in my tastes in music.

I have a wide variety of music I listen to.

My taste in music goes from Palestrina to John Adams (not the President but the Composer of the opera “Nixon in China”).

I like The Carpenters, The Mamas and the Papas, and Abba.
