Reminds me of a computer repair job I went on once. First off, the door was locked, so I had to get a maintenance guy to unlock the door. Then, I still couldn’t open it. The two of us finally managed to horse it open to discover one of the messiest offices I have ever seen. One of the piles of books and papers had fallen over and was blocking the door…
And that’s why I keep mine in a bin on the counter. (OK, by “bin” I mean “old dishwasher silverware rack”, but it serves great to hold all those awkward utensils that don’t really fit well in the drawer but also aren’t used enough to hang on the wall within easy reach.)

Up yours, I get so tired of that one more thing we must have that jams the drawers shut.

How true to life! I really had to laugh at this one. Mine sometimes gets jammed with the cheese grater, too.

Logic would be to find a different place for it. Like a wide vase/crock to hold all the utensils that would jam the drawer or gets used more often.

Well, that plus it’s handy if you have to quickly kiss a lot of potatoes.

You could always use a WWII German “Potato Masher” to open it.

Isn’t that the truth! I am thinking of getting a utensil crock, so it frees up some space in that drawer.

That is the reason I have a humongous crock to hold all my utensils, makes life less stressful.
