I wonder why it’s not called the weekend*s*? Sunday is the beginning of the week; Saturday is the end of the week. Two different ends of the same week or the end of one week and the beginning of a different week.
In either case, the days always seem to be filled with stuff to do and go by too quickly.
I read somewhere the advice to mentally start your work week on Wednesday. You work three days, take two days off in the middle of the week and come back on Monday with your week half gone.

This pretty much applies to adulthood in general. The weekend is now when you catch up on things.
