    I’m a malevolent force. But don’t worry, I’m friendly.

But ants, mice, and small birds among other tiny species have one advantage. Almost every other form of being is too dangerous or too large for them to fight. So they answer the fight or flight question in a practical way. They simply withdraw to safety, then produce more offspring. Thus they can survive situations where many would fail.

Isn’t the biomass of insects greater than that of human beings?
