Back in the ‘40s it was “take a long walk on a short pier”. Sentiments don’t change.

Then you can really be called a dip!

Yeah, nothing like a walk in the surf to make you sleepy.

That theory’s all wet.

When we lived in the Chicago area, Mom would say, “Walk east till your hat floats.”
