I could have sworn I remembered a Laurel and Hardy bit like this:

Ollie: “Why, I have more brains in my little finger than you have in your whole body!”

Then Stan, not sure if he’s been insulted, wavers between a “darn right!” and a “why, you!” for several long seconds.

But, the only similar quote I can find is from “A Chump at Oxford”, where Ollie says “carcass”, not “body”, and Stan doesn’t do his “confused” bit…

In panel 2 he doesn’t say gosh because of the painting. It’s that paint brush tickling his (censored word here)

Why does he have that puppy love look on his face in last panel?
