1,1,1-trichloroethane is an industrial solvent restricted because of its contributions to ozone depletion. Lottie objects to being educated, but will remember obscure facts in service of a dumb pun.

I love that the French Assistant drives a Citroen.Meanwhile how are they going to present Glengarry Glen Ross in a Secondary School. For goodness Sake its a David Mamet Play. If you leave out all the F-Words they will have to perform it in Sign Language.

It’s hurt to see how well Mildred described my experience as a substitute teacher. I wonder if she will become just a scientist or a scientist AND a science teacher.

The French assistant has nice looking car, at least. Very classy-looking.

Dunno if it’s actually a good performing car, of course, but it at least looks nice.

Really, drama club has nothing on the girls. They have been honing their drama skills for years, and now they get to show it off. Drama +Drama = ? Someone should write a play about them and the rest of the crew. Oh, wait….

You can’t argue with Lottie’s logic.

I’m not sure whether or not the French assistant here is supposed to be Elodie Broussard, the assistante we met back in “Simple Soul”. The hair color is right, but Elodie usually keeps it shorter and wears a headband. We’ll see Elodie in the next case, but she’s back in France by that point.
