Baldo: I like my teacher... I really do. Baldo: There's just one thing that bugs me about all of them. Dad: What's that? Baldo: They all think they're smarter than me.
That’s the life.At 6 it is crystal clear, that teachers are smarter than you. At 16 it seems stupid idea.At 26 you understand that they are.And at 36 you realize, that actually, they are not.
I think that there will always be some students that are smarter than some of their teachers, that’s just a given, but none of the students should be more knowledgeable than the teachers in their given subjects. If the students are then there’s a problem.
Most of my teachers were great, but I can remember three that, at the time, I thought were incompetent. Now, with the clarity of hindsight, I can see that I might have been wrong about one of them.

I’m sure your English teacher would be quick to point out that it should be “smarter than I”, not “smarter than me”.
