When I was in junior high I decided that I wanted to learn to play the guitar and the piano. My family (with the exception of my nephew who takes after my sister’s husband, his dad) is tone deaf. We sing enthusiastically, but terribly. I have no sense of rhythm. I could not learn to tune the guitar as it all sounded the same to me.
If I said that I was going practice and there were people in the house I was told to practice in my" boudoir". I was enthusiastic, but horrible. (Piano gone with Hurricane Sandy, guitar was for sale at the tag sale prehouse sale at my family home.)
We belong to an 18th century civilian reenactment unit. Husband decided that is important for me to learn to recognize a song (Chester) that was the unofficial anthem of the colonies. At various times period music would be playing and he would ask me what it was. (I can tell that it that is from the 18th c, but what it is.) I would say that I did not know and exasperated he would tell me that it was Chester. I figured out that whenever asked it was same, so I started saying it was same whenever he asked and he though that I finally could recognize the song. One day he asked, I answered, and it was not Chester – caught!

I wonder what would happen if a string should break (from the tuning peg end)?

What would maybe the whole city, then county, then state, then nation move away from Gracie’s “talented” guitar playing?

Her fingers just aren’t Long enough yet. Maybe they should get her a Soprano Guitar.
