“Oh, just hanging around.” Was Hector’s reply when Julie came walking by with Spike. But Spike knew what Hector and Thor were up to. And he wished that he had such an owner.

Most dogs, and many cats, don’t mess with squirrels. When it comes to running for your life, squirrels fight back.

The Big Squirrel that Todd and Ginger treed was really Sciuridae fancier and photographer “Squirrelly” Shirley Knutshoarder ( pictured below ) She often disguises herself to get closer to these rats with bushy tails.

Since the outfits available at StelBel’s Wonderful World of Fantasy & Costume Annex are so realistic, it’s no wonder Todd and Ginger mistook her for chattering for an enormous, excited squirrel and Shirley out on a limb.

Squirrels love to tease cats and dogs. They’ll chatter and click at dogs to get their attention and flash past them in an attempt to annoy the dog.The noisey teasing had no affect on my 90 lb. APBT . He’d quietly lie on the porch while the squirrels would go nuts ( pun intended) in the trees above him. he would totally ignore them.Of course, the fact that he was born completely deaf, might have had something do do with that !

I’m just now noticing a shoe in the sidewalkare we sure that is a squirrel in the tree?

annetteYou have to be careful feeding those rodents, they chewed their way into the attic looking for food.Nothing is worse than being awakened at 3am with 5 or 6 squirrels running across the ceiling!It took us 3 weeks to trap, relocate and plug up the vents.BTW the cats chased them once when we first moved in. They chase back. Scared the cats!

As long as its a squirrel they are chasing, and not one of those innocent defenseless little bunnies.
