Psst….. I hate to gossip…. but….I heard that Lillian Frowbusch over on Elm Street had left her husband, Chuck…( you remember, he’s the mechanic at Frowbusch and Faulkner, Fine Florists and Piano Movers) …
and taken up with a “fancy man.”You don’t suppose it’s Neal?
It came to my attention, over the weekend that several of you mistook Hurricane Hubble’s ugly visage for me !
I was too busy pirat liberating some fine rums to smuggle import to Ballard and was unable to reply to this calumny.
Let me set the record straight….Tweren’t me, Mcgee ! I have better things to do than standing in my front yard spinning yarns – I can do that at the Tilki ( and on occasion, do ).
Those of you who know me also know that my “business” requires a certain amount of stealth discretion and secrecy silence, so I rarely boast about my adventures.I reserve the ( highly self-censored ) tales of the bounding main for my grandchildren.
Whereas I am a seasoned salt and almost constantly at sea – just ask my First Maite – Hurricane Hubble is really a landlubber ! His years in the Navy were spent sailing a desk in Naval Supplies. The closest he came to a ship was the one time he entered a dingy race in Norfolk . His little dingly came in last !
That gob talks a good game but as we say on my galleon The Irish Rover®, " He’s all wind and no sail ! ". He couldn’t find his aft with both hands on deck !!
BTW On a happier note… the rum is in and safely stashed stored at the Tiki, so drinks are on me today ! Drink hearty, me hearties !

Bev… I’m confused….You said “I like Coors lite.”
And then you mention “the very rare occasions when I order a beer.”
What does ordering a beer have to do with Coors Lite?
