Happy birthday dog sniff, the party is in the Tiki’s east room. We’ve decorated it in a canine theme, instead of plates we’ve got dog bowls!

I’ve spent the last hour watching a live news feed of the riot in downtown Portland. There was an anarchist element that joined the peaceful protesters and these guys went on a rampage , brealing windows, burning newspaper stands, and smashing cars at a dealership . The police finally moved in with tear gas and moved the crowd ( about 200))away from the downtown core. I’m turning in. They are still at it.

It’s terrible.

I understand their frustration….

and the tendency, especially in the young, to be impatient.

But honestly…. smashing and burning things will prove only that they need to be stopped,

and certainly NOT that their views are correct or righteous.

Instead of influencing others, it has the opposite effect.

Sigh….
