Rufus looks like he’s about to “mark his territory”.

Gary’s in his in-house. I hope it’s not for the same purpose as an out-house.

And just what is he doing in there? Inquiring minds want to know!

Not much of a home office to write off on his tax return, but it looks like it would be hard for an auditor to challenge.

I’m glad to see that Gary has taken “Safety First” into consideration. It looks to me like he has incorporated two means of access and egress into his private suite.

Gary is likely to get a broiled pate from his work light, then he will be exhausterpated.

I bet that is a Mme Deuxcoleur on his wall. Even a small space needs some art, sommat.

I’m pretty sure Gwendolyn made that tea for Gary, or at least, she boiled the water, filled the cup, and put the teabag into it.

Then, according to their little rules and rituals, she tapped two times….

which means, “I’m leaving something on your table”….. on his door.

It’s up to him to pick it up and drink it before it’s too strong, or too cold.

He keeps sugar and some packets of creamer in his “booth.”

She knows better than to open his door.

He knows better than to expect any more service… like milk and sugar already stirred into a nice, finished cup of tea,

He can get that by going out and sitting with Gwen in the living room.

Dinner is usually put on the dining room table about seven.

That’s three taps on the booth door.

Just one tap, BTW, means “The phone is for you.”

Four… I’m going out … out shopping, out to lunch with the “girls”, etc … or sometimes, we have company.

Five… usually loud… taps…. “five minutes till I give Rufus your dinner.”

Six…. even louder…. (but it’s only come to this once….) “I’m going to bed. Hope you can sleep in that #@&! booth.”
