While Baxter studies the wall, Delbert studies this month’s issue of Paint and Wallpaper Digest.

Baxter wants Delbert’s place on the couch. He’s learned that Delbert is a little spooked about the unknown.

Who is getting tense? Baxter or Delbert? They both look relaxed to me.

Baxter must be convinced there will be an exam on the wall tomorrow.

Apparently, Delbert can’t read the writing on the wall.

Oh there will be a reason…and an ankle bit, soon.

At least Baxter seems to know that …

… it’s not polite to read over someone’s shoulder.

As long as he doesn’t start wailing.

Shunning Delbert all over a doggie treat. Who will win, who – will – win?

Cock your head a little once in a while. I’ll drive the people crazy.

I’ve noticed that cats are really good at staring at ceilings or walls for no apparent reason.

Baxter sits facing the wall so he can wag his tail!

“Turd” does that occasionally.

“Ha! Made you look!”

This “tension” can only be broken by the sound of a can opener or, in rare cases the sound of the door bell. In the meantime.. given there is no good reason to develop anytime soon Delbert can enjoy his issue of Paint and Wallpaper.

I’m sure Baxter has his reasons!!!
