I agree with her. This site has a number of annoying popup adds such as the Toyota ad that I use the back arrow to get rid of them. Then there are the video ads that constantly intrude forcing you to turn down the volume (and shut down the music you are listening to.)
What popups? Firefox has a superb popup blocker; I use it and haven’t seen a popup in years. Not using Internet Explorer, are you? Maybe version 4 or something?
Add my voice to the chorus singing “Adblocker”. I’m always amazed and appalled when I have occasion to get online with a different computer and see how many ads there are.
Yeah, you have to be careful about where you get your addons, otherwise you can get unintended stuff included. NoScript can be overzealous at times but it has done a fairly good job at keeping crap off of my computers. I’ve been using it for quite a few years now, so I’m pretty use to its quirks. I have multiple Firefox profiles set up and I use one without Noscript present if I think that NoScript is messing with me.

And the stuff that AdBlock doesn’t catch, NoScript does catch.

Don’t bother hunting for the X, pressing Alt-F4 will close the focal window, whatever it is.
