I accidentally clicked on a website that was for “geeks and gamers (their description).” There are some very strange and/or adult things on the site, but one thing I saw was a wall map that showed how Americans saw the rest of the world. Pretty much right on target.
I’m rather surprised that this didn’t set off a conflagration here, even though it’s true. Indeed, I expected it to raise hackles because while it is true, it’s also something that you’re not supposed to admit openly: no Americans killed, so no biggie. True, there are few who are that blunt, but it’s always there between the lines, make no mistake. Maybe it’s because the incident in question was an act of nature, and thus the casualties were accidental; I suspect that if the writers had made it an act of war, that might have really inflamed the passions.

If they’re not Americans, they’re not real people, right?

What’s a pricipal?
Is it like an expensive professional escort – someone who’s willing to be your pal, but it’s going to be pricey?

Spell checking jabs aside, Cynthia makes a valid point.
