Mr. Reynolds’s mustache was once half-mast, after a fashion; while on the Tonight Show, he was talking to Steve Martin (who was guest-hosting for Johnny) and somehow it ended up that Burt shaved off one side of his stache right there in the chair, & did the rest of the show like that, until the final break, when he finished the job.
I remember my mother and many of her friends going out to buy the April issue of Cosmo, a magazine that none of them ever read. Why? Burt Reynolds centerfold!
I remember watching “Smokey & The Bandit”, “Cannonball Run”, and quite a few other movies with titles that escape me, because BURT REYNOLDS! I’m told many of them actually had plots, supporting cast, etc. Somehow I never noticed…
