The proper analogy would NOT be that the governor has forbidden beach closures; instead, he wants to leave it up to LOCAL authorities to decide in a way that does not violate state law, rather than have state or federal officials do it. Or to put it another way where, say, the supposedly evil Florida governor is concerned, there are no mask bans; there are only some mask MANDATE bans, especially for mandates that violate state law. HUGE difference there, but folks who seem to believe that any extant law can be flushed just because they’re scared probably aren’t going to grasp it.
But more importantly here, don’t such blatant political cartoons belong in the political cartoon section of the site?
