At about the same time GOT came out, The Borgias was aired. It was oddly similar, but much more interesting. Too bad they never did a third season of that.
GoT is a very depressing series of books etc for folk with no remaining scruples or standards of behaviour whatsoever. If you read/watched it and enjoyed it, you should be ashamed of yourself. I certainly was
