I’ve seen Steven King and Margaret Atwood books stacked on a table in front of book stores.

And if there’s a sign that screams “Unmissable!”, we are really over stocked.

Lots of reasons.

Having worked in a bookstore for several years in the mid-to-late 90s, I can say, with absolute authority, that YES! We would stack it in the front of the store if it wasn’t any good! Among other things, the remaindered tables were right at the front.

how else are they gonna get rid of the lousy books…?
