Good Morning Lonewolf, Gweedo, Montana Lady and Everybody
I miss tree color. Where I live now is all pine trees. I miss the mountains and the color, snow, and spring. Here it is hot, then in Novemeber the temperature drops to the 30’s & 40’s, everything dies and in April you wake up and everything turned green overnight.
what does it look like for here in FL most of the trees stay green year around except afew they just turn brown and fall off the trees and new buds form almost the same day they fall off.
I miss the fall colors too, in Houston. Here they just turn brown and fall off, some time in Dec. But they make up for it in the Spring when the wildflowers bloom.
I have to admit that the leaves turn all kinds of pretty colors this time of year here in northern Arkansas, but I HATE WINTER! But as cold as it gets here, when I lived in Houston, the tempature wasn’t as bad, but coupled with that damp Gulf air, it was torture. I was a night-time railroad switchman there and often had to ride on the sides of ice coated cars.

Just how far south do you think they’ll get by spring.

Well, I think by the time they get to their southern destination, it’ll be time to head back.
Good Morning, Fellow Cave Dwellers.

Sigh, the last leaf. Lucky they weren’t watching my oak tree. Else they’d never go south.

I love watching the leaves change. Watching them drop is a different story…

On our trip to SoCal for ThanksGiving, we went from snow country to autumn……with lots of tries just turning gold. One of my favorite seasons!
Good morning BC’ers. Have a good week.
