Either way is fine. A cold house leads to snuggling under blankets for warmth. A warm house leads to shedding layers of clothes to keep cool. Either can lead to burning calories.
Then again, she could always take off her clothes in the cold house and sell the shots to a chubby chasers site. (As long as we’re getting lower and lower on the moral discussions.)
I wondered about the shoveling part, too, lightenup.

I enjoy it because the power company get a lot less of my money!

I wouldn’t enjoy that at all. Hate the cold. I’d much rather save the money in the heat of summer.
Good Morning, Fellow Cave Dwellers.

When it melts, she’ll want it all swept out again.

I like it at 69-70 degrees.
My room mate likes it at least 71, and would have it at 75 if it weren’t for me.
It’s his house.

It’s a little more complicated than this, but basically temperature is calories, food value is kilocalories.
In other words, compared to food intake, temperature is a drop in the bucket.
The only way being cold will help you lose weight is because your teeth are chattering too much to eat anything!

Good Morning Lonewolf, Gweedo, and Everyone
I like it cold. That’s when you get to snuggle (if you have someone to snuggle with that is).

Shouldn’t she be out there shoveling if she wants to lose weight?

My wife does not consider that solution worth it. She loathes the cold.
