While not a Christmas strip, it does bring a Christmas memory. Years ago my husband had a co-worker who was a single mom with a 10-year-old daughter. The daughter wanted a Barbie VW Bug (doll-sized, of course). After talking to me, he told the co-worker that we would get it for her daughter. Unbeknownst to her, he had also overheard her saying that she had always wanted a waffle iron. When we picked up the doll car, we also picked up a waffle iron. She was so surprised and grateful.
