What? There is a suggestion here that everyone driving a car is actually paying attention to traffic and the actual road?.Balderdash!.Every once in a while, a driver actually uses their turn signal to signal they intend to make a turn ahead. Most of the time, they are already in the turn lane and starting around the corner before the signal starts to flash!.Of course, this is assuming they actually know what that little lever sticking out on the left side of the steering column is for!
We had the opposite problem here. The “highway exit” arrow was so far back from the exit ramp that at night (no lights, of course) you had plenty of opportunity to drive over a cliff!

If you get one of those fancy new cars, you can be a brain addled moron, half paying attention, while texting, and it will brake for you.

Reminds me of Dallas. Signs on a major highway were placed very much like this strip.
