A good idea at first, but it developed major complications. Seems from the news, that the most important failure was having no reliable vetting process for those who applied. Second was having no secure way for rider to be sure the car that appeared actually was the one called. Proper business insurance could be another. Security of driver and rider, should be paramount, just as security protocols should be built into any new IT software from the base, not fumbled into use after the hacking has begun.
