1. Her last name is Dougherty, right? Or so I assume? The last name of (at least one of) her parents. Just as Frankenstein was the last name of the doctor who created the monster.
2. That looks like the creature from the Universal Pictures movies of the thirties and forties. In those films the creature as well as its creator is explicitly known as Frankenstein (as in the movie titles Bride of Frankenstein, Frankenstein vs. the Wolf Man, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein).
