First time I’ve seen dad in this strip. I never really wondered where he was; I just figured his job involved a lot of travel time. Good to see him helping out around the house too. :^)
My Sister in law and a friend tried their hand at wallpaper. It was Lucy and Ethel time, LOL! So my SIL called me in to do the job, no problem. My nephew, about 7 at the time, wanted to help and my SIL said no and I said yes. See, I was a kid and remember a lot about being one. He would have pestered and thrown a fit if he couldn’t help. So I had an assistant for about 5 minutes!! It was no fun and he grew tired of having to actually do something like work.
