Most of my married life, payday has been every other week. I always plan out meals. I may use Thursday’s dinner on Tuesday, but there’s enough food in the house for two weeks, and I can see that we are having X too often. I use a different cookbook every pay period, so we can try different things.

Any time Bub doen’s like what she’s cooking and what he’s getting he can take over the duty and do it to the tight budget that their budget plan demands — and meet all of the nutritional reqquirements including fiber, too! Oh yeah — he gets to do the shopping, too — but he has to do it as well as she does!

This strip is totally wrong. My husband hates it when I buy my preferred durable and sensible shoes. He wants me to dress like a Thai hooker!

I tried that plan for the week, do everything up on Sunday. that lasted for about 4 months. It seems I was spending my entire Sunday grocery shopping, prep’ing, cooking, And being on my feet for the whole day.when I mentioned it to fellow co-worker, her response was that it only takes her 2 hours for doing meals for her family of four for the week. Even soup from scratch. I do soup from scratch – from making the stock from bones to skimming the fat and chopped veggies. Apparently she believed opening a tin and adding a couple of veggies was making soup from scratch. That woman never really spoke to me againguess I annoyed her. :))))
