My mum was an English teacher; she and Betty would get along just fine. The one time I mentioned that somebody’s new baby was “so neat” I got a glare that would have stopped Medusa in her tracks.
It’s a thing. My son considers it bullying when I tell him what to do; “Get dressed for school.” “Put your dirty dishes in the sink”.
I keep trying to tell him there’s a difference between bossy and bullying but his generation sees no difference. Everything is bullying if they don’t agree with it….

No but being jugemental and implying that only things YOU like are good and “necessary” is a bad thing. People should stop doing that.
