What I don’t get is why and art “gallery” would charge anything. They’re not a museum they’re trying to sell art. Don’t they want as many people as possible to come in and shop?
Wow! There are some unsophisticated commenters here! This art gallery is obviously a ‘museum of art’ not a store. After the four visits mentioned it is then free for subsequent visits. Also, if it’s anything like the galleries I frequent, there will be special exhibits to which members get free or reduced price access.
From what I’ve seen in the last couple of ‘art’ galleries I went to, I would just as soon ride around and look at street graffiti on buildings. At least that stuff makes sense most of the time.

I guess I am spoiled. In DC, most of the major museums are free.
