I had the same problem with my nephew. Amazing how fast he got motivated when my productivity began with cleaning HIS room… and whatever toys I picked up off of the floor became mine and found themselves boxed up and put away. Hmmm that reminds me, I think there is still a box of toys I put in the closet when he was 6 or so… he’s 19 now… I think he might be responsible enough to get them back.
My mother would have been beating me before I could finish that statement, then my father would take over after she got tired…easier to just do what she asked!
I used to do that (lead by example) when I was an assistant manager at a fast food place. All employees saw me do any job I would ask them to do. That way, if I asked them to do something and they refused, I’d tell them they could either do what I asked or clock out now and leave the uniform at the store. It worked well and prevented primadonnas.

What’s he done? He’s tricked Betty into doing all the work. What’s the problem?
