So Trudy blew you off because you're a sixth grader?
Pretty much.
Well, did she SAY that?
She didn't have to say it! It was OBVIOUS!
The writing on the wall was written all over her face.
Sounds complicated!
What was her face saying?
Shut up.

I still think there is hope for Nate.

What she said, and felt are two different things. And what she said was rather clear. Though it does sound like Nate is starting to think he acted too fast. Do hope its a case of them meeting in the middle.

Maybe Nate is just too overthinking, and he still has a chance, but then he will see Jenny again and forget all about this whole thing and Trudy will move to another school and we will never see her again, AGAIN, she will be history and one day we will ask Lincoln to bring her back but it will never happen . Sad

How would he know? Nate’s never had a keen grasp of the obvious.

Maybe if Nate grew up a bit, became a bit more mature….
Yea, never mind.

I still have some hope for Nate but let’s not forget that Trudy was hesitant when she learned Nate was in the 6th grade. If she was sure about him, there would be no hesitation.

Difference in age doesn’t matter much as you get older, but at their age, it means a lot.Maybe Trudy skipped a grade and is really the same age as a sixth grader. She might be hesitating to admit that.

What Nate said.
JamesWJackson about 9 years ago
Nate said “Is that a problem?” And all the Trudy said was “Well….” then Nate cut her off in midsentence and went into his rant and stomped away. Trudy only was in contact with him briefly at the fair, and then after school. She asked him to walk her home, and appeared to be interested, but then he began to act the way that he did. so why would she even bother to pursue the relationship, based upon what she has seen from him?

Nate jumped the gun as his often inclined to do. He read more into her expression than was there.

Well, Trudy was shocked, Nate, she didn’t even get to speak her opinion! You should’ve been patient!!!

Isn´t that a rather petty thing to comment on – if you don´t have something proper to say, just don´t do it. :) The fact that I accidently added a c at the start doesn´t change a world of things – it is called a typo.
