This exact same thing happened with a friend of mine when growing up. His mother decided to try to cut her son’s hair with clippers designed for the dog. They made that noise, and for a while my friend had to go around with an all around “fade”. 1’4 inch of hair all around his head.

When I was in my early teens some of the other kids got Mohawk haircuts. I was surprised that anyone would do that, but my mother reminded me that hair grows back. Still, I wasn’t tempted.

That didn’t take long.

“Whoops.”

This reminds me of the Calvin and Hobbes comic when Hobbes gives Calvin a haircut. The results were similar but more drastic, Hobbes basically shaved Calvin’s head.
