I’m with Nate in this one. Getting an A or B is overrated anyway, for subjects you don’t like. I pity those who have strict parents who punish students for getting a single B or C, like most of my friends in elementary school. That’s just wrong, Imo.

I love how Nate looks even smuger than usual in the throw away panel.

I’ll give this Sunday strip a solid 8/10

Does anyone remember when Mr. Peirce abandoned the Sunday strip title card and throwaway ‘Drawn by Nate’ panel a few years ago? If so, do you know why he did it, and why he came back with it a few years later?

The question is: What if you need an A to avoid summer school? Haven’t you thought about that, Nate?!

I swear that’s the way my 17 year old thinks. “Why work harder than you need just to get by??” He did not get this from me or mom.

And the sad part is that they will all repeat sixth grade next year. Nate will not be held back and the others will not be promoted.

I got a D in Differential Equations in engineering college and kissed the earth in thanks since there is was consider passing.
