BIG NATE AND THE BET: Part 23

At first Nate flinched, and wondered what had he done to deserve such punishment. Dee Dee didn’t exactly sound like Miley Cyrus, but she wasn’t horrible either. As Dee Dee continued to sing, Nate began to relax a little. “Dee Dee singing with music is less annoying than her singing without music.” Nate thought. “And its a little more tolerable.” Soon, the song ended, and Dee Dee handed Nate the microphone. “Now its your turn, Nate! Show me what you’ve got!” Dee Dee said.

Nate swallowed the big lump that suddenly got caught in his throat. “Oh man. This is going to be embarrassing.” Nate grabbed the microphone and tried to think of a song that he could sing. He scrolled through the song selection. “Dang, no rock songs.” That was a bummer, Nate was a fan of rock n’ roll music, he even led a rock band for crying out loud!

Suddenly he found a song that made him raise his eyebrows. “Oooooo…” he whistled. “Okay, Dee Dee, prepare to be amazed.” He hit the play button and stepped back. Then the first few notes of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” started to play. Nate nodded his head to the music, then he began to sing. “Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you!” Nate sang. “Huh, I’m not doing so bad.” Nate thought. “I’m enjoying this! I should do this with Dee Dee more often!”

Going to be really busy today and tomorrow. I’m going to make my story probably on Saturday or Sunday, just to let you all know.

It’s been two weeks after Halloween, when preperaptions for the music contest started. Nate’s band – Enslave the Mollusk is going to partake in it. It’s gonna be hard, because Artur quits the band. Plus, Gina is thier rival. Nate feels he hates her more, then ever (because she’s more obnoxious, than usual), but Francis and Teddy think he has a crush on her. What’s Nate gonna do? Will their band win? Are Francis and Teddy right?
