Setup: 8/10 good setup, continues from previous comic. we love continuity

Punchline: 5/10 not bad. again continuity

Aftermath: 8/10 nate’s quip adds a lot to the joke

Art: 8/10 always good

Overall: 29/40 or a 72.5% decent comic

Well, this place must only have one waitress, unless Grampa favours this particular waitress and only goes when she’s on her shift. But that’s too unrealistic. Also, let him have a special. What’s wrong with having something new every once-in-a-while?

5.5/10 So far, this arc is not bad, it’s just plain. Nothing really stands out from this arc, and there’s nothing really exciting or interesting about this arc. It’s just two guys eating out at a diner.

I go to restaurants I’ve never visited before and say “I’ll have the usual.”

One place I worked, there was a woman who would hold up the line at the cafeteria while she checked the entire menu (you could see her lips moving), then she’d order the same thing she did every morning. There was also a guy who had a cheeseburger and fries at exactly noon, every day.

I’ve cooked in the same restaurant for 20 years. We have plenty of regulars, and they nearly always order the exact same thing. I say, nearly… you have to be ready to change up sometimes.
