johnny never heard of throwing clots? Doc,???

All the cats I’ve lost all died from liver disease. My last cat, before these rescue cats, Hannah, died of liver disease also, but she made it to 16 years and 4 days. I stopped using Frontine for cats on her about 9 years before she died. I blame the frontline, don’t need it on these cats, and probably wouldn’t use it if I did.

It is something I have never had to really deal with, there were a couple of pets from when I was really young, but he was the first pet, (three more dogs) that we played with as we got a little older. Me and my brothers were “part of the pack.” Those were some good times.

pets are unconditional, of course I have one cat that’s very sweet, until you try to do anything to her. My vet said in order to trim her long hair, I would have to sedate her. Yup, that about covers it! LOL! She had ear mites and he gave me ligiud to put in her ear, I said, “Your’re kidding right?” He did it, but he had to grab her by the scruff of her neck so she couldn’t move in order to do it!

    Good morning, Tribe

Reading of all the pet deaths make me miss Jeket, Sweetheart, Janie & Vasquez, sniff But good memories.

Trying to get my order in at Angel Food Ministries. The other day there was a church right down the road and I contacted them via email and received a very prompt, gracious reply. Today I went to do the order….and the church isn’t listed as a host site. I called, and they’re checking to see what happened. Sigh

Trying to clean my desk and make potato soup in my new crock pot. Yeah, I invested in a new appliance, but my last soup I made I scraped about 3 cups of burnt soup from the bottom of the pots. This should pay for itself in salvaged food.

    1) I’m always updating, clearing, booking, emailing, etc. 2) The company has disclaimers all over saying they can and will monitor internet activity. A drop to the bank here and mapquest there is sorta ok, but I know one girl who got fired for surfing the net when she should have been working.

Dry Let me see if I remember.

The regular box has some steaks, chicken fajitas, center cut ham slice, french fries, hamburger meat, a pork roast, fish sticks, lima beans, green beans, apples, chicken nuggets, burrito wraps, shelf stable milk, a dozen eggs and a dessert item. I figured it out at my usual prices and $30 was a good deal.

Then I got the $20 poultry box, 10 lbs of chicken in various forms and such. Even 2.5 lbs of chicken tenders! This was a marvelous buy.

These boxes will help me stretch out the $$. It’s what I get in a week for doing the plasma gig.

Just plug in Angel Food Ministries into your search engine and it’ll pop up. Put in your zip code and it will show where the local host sites are. Mine is less than a mile away, literally right up the road.

I did a radical switch in the way I eat back in July, I believe, and have reaped the benefits in returning to my optimum weight and staying there. Unfortunately, I have had to start buying new clothes. DANG BLASTED CLOTHING ANYWAYS!!!!!

     •  Reply

Cleo, Pool league runs approximately 14 weeks. Each night of the week is a seperate division. Currently, I shoot Monday(9ball), Tuesday(8ball) & Saturday(8ball). Tournaments are either one day events or weekend events(Friday night, all day Saturday & Sunday till about 4PM). The tournaments I enter at least once a month(they cost money. The bigger the event, the more to enter)sometimes more. I usually break even at the worst and most times take home some winnings. The leagues are just like bowling leagues with 8 players per team and 5 play per night!

    Hi gang.

I just got back from my Advent Carol Concert/Dinner and talent show. Was it ever good. Lots of great talent, including a 12 year old violinist who plays like he could be doing the concert tour. Wow.

I’m all ready for bed now, just saying hello.

egad it is quiet around here. *Terry, the one really good thing about living in the land of many brew pubs is that most of them make root beer and they are so superior to any commercially bottled root beer. They are like throwbacks to what you would find in years gone by. Very tasty.

I’d love to try the good stuff. I think that the best I had was Barques’ or A and W root beer.

Shika my dear, how are you. Yes he is eating pizza and the root beer out here makes A&W or Barques seem like just another soda pop. I am not trying to be detrimental, it is just unbelievable how good root beer can be when you look at it as a brew as opposed to a soda. Nice to see you by the way. Have you got a weekend of some relaxation, or is it a weekend of homework?

Since I’ve never tasted local root beer, I am glad I can get the A & W. But I wish they’d bring back bottles. I think that cans ruin the taste.

cleo It is always a weekend of homework with an Master’s program. :-(

Just to keep up. But I am going out tomorrow for non-college stuff with friends. And tonight was a great break, even if it was at the college. They do a wonderful dinner when they want to, with great wine and dessert too.

cleo Send me some homemade root beer, will you? I have to say though, when A and W had it on tap, it had a nice head to it that you don’t get with regular pop.

My community is a typical NW microbrew environment so we can get root beer from a spigot at the bar and it has all the nuances of a good beer or wine. You guys are just going to have to come out to visit me.

I love root beer floats, but I have to make them. If you get them at a restaurant they don’t give you enough root beer, so you are stuck with ice cream and not enough root beer to wash it down.

I don’t go for floats much though. I’m not a big ice cream fan, although I’ll eat it if it is offered to me.

My sleeping habits are all screwed up with this stuff they have me on. To be honest, the side effects suck!

I normally don’t need a lot of sleep(Army did it to me)but this is rediculous. I still sleep the same amount(5 hours a day) but I can’t do it all at once. It just won’t let me. It’s very aggravating!

All my friends said that I would be a good dad, but my reply was yes, but what if I am not. No, I love kids but I knew that I was to transient to be a dad and to selfish as well. I wanted to travel and be able to come and go as I pleased. Children do not present that option.

I actually am very good with kids. I treat them as if they were anybody else that I was talking to. I do not talk in baby talk, I just talk to them like I would talk to you. They seem to respond to this. Cats like me too. Go figure.

Cleo–I guess I am lucky in that I never felt a lack of freedom to come and go as I please. I guess I consider re-arranging things to fit my schedule no different than “being required to spend “x” amount of hours sleeping” or “being required to work so much time out of the day”. Those items are can be just as restraining as having children.

I’ve always treated my kids older than their age. Like you the response has always been positive. James tries to act as old as I at times as he tries to emulate me in everything! But it still has more pros than cons.

Oh Cleo, how I wish that were true buddy. Wolfangil would be splitting a gut right now if she heard that!

But I am strict, yet patient with children and I have the patience to teach whether it be children or older folks as in mechanics or computers. So it all works with the kids. And as much as I would not allow my children to ever expect it, we as parents owe it to the kids at least until they are adults. They were not consulted before being brought into this world.

A lot of people tell me I am easy going and much fun unless someone messes with my family or me. I don’t see it.
