hi cleo! thanks for breakfast. i’ll have the bacon quiche and some juice, and the Finnish Pancakes look interesting, so i’ll try a small helping of them as well. i really shouldn’t be here at this time of night since i need to be leaving for the blood donor clinic in about 7 hours and i have to get some sleep first, but i’ve been way too scarce here lately and had to say “hi” at least. (take a left at the computer and go down the hall, yes, i know.) i will be back after the blood donation, the book shopping (like i haven’t got enough all ready), and the finding out exactly where the RL party i’m going to tomorrow night is at. Wow, early Saturday for me to be catching the early morning posters. I don’t understand how I can wear three shirts, a pair of shorts and jeans, two pair of socks, my super warm hunting boots, a “weatherproof” winter coat, a thick knit hat, and gloves, and still be cold, and then girls wander around in very short skirts and heels, and nothing else really.

Ha-ha-ha! It doesn’t makle sense does it *Johnny?

JFri you must be getting some cold air from somewhere other than the north. According to Weather Underground we are supposed to get 20 degree weather, but our newspaper says 40s. I hope the newspaper is right.

Well, as the sun has gotten higher in the sky we have warmed up to 33 but there is still frost in the shadow of the big “tank”.

Looks like I didn’t miss much. After my last comment I ordered our drugs for the week and got depressed. $45 worth. I realize my copay is pretty decent $5 for generic and $20 for brand, but still, $45 worth is $$ I really don’t have right now. As much as I hate it, looks like it’ll have to go on a credit card for now. It’s a real bummer, I’m trying to save that credit line for emergency, but we need the drugs, too.

Anyway I got very depressed and went back to my room and curled up under a blanket with Storm Chasers on the tube. I dozed here and there and am finally up to shower and go to the Dragon. I feel a bit better, but I’m really bummed out…..especially when I know many more people/families are going thorugh tighter times and have been doing it longer.

Enough. Big tornado on TV. Love weather and mega disasters and such. When this one’s over I’ll shower and boggie on out to see how much of my jewelry hasn’t sold, then go to the Dragon.

Oh, forgot a reply for DoctorToon I have read the **Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy 4-book trilogy, seen the BBC miniseries and the recent movie. Between the movie and BBC series I like the BBC version better. Even though the special effects were cheesier I liked the Zaphod rendition better with two side-by-side heads as opposed to the switcharoo in the Movie. BBC’s Melvin managed to project more of a depressed robot image and the whole storyline was better than the movie, imho.

Ok, back to wash hair and dishes.

@Quaby, except that the Hitchhiker trilogy is something like 5 1/3 books…

We had some flurries here this morning, which really is causing some problems. Some smart guy checked out the fire hydrants yesterday, so now there’s plenty of nice smooth ice for the snow to sit on and be like greased glass…

I’ve just heard that the 5th book in the Hitchhiker’s trllogy has been written and it’s by the author of the Artemis Fowl series (Eoin Colfer). Don’t know much else about it.

@Quaby Except for the dolphin’s song in the movie, BBC was MUCH better.

My weekend has been kinda boring, as the finals approach everyone is busy studying, and we don’t do much else. Dry, it was snowing earlier, but none of it stuck.

johnny my one kid has finals this week too!

Finals aren’t even next week, but everyone is already studying, and I am working on a paper at the moment. Process is going slowly.

well my kids start Monday, and their Christmas break starts midway thru the next week. His classes started in mid August. Good luck with your finals, I’m sure you will do fine! A lot of work, but it will be worth it, esp. in this day and age.

Back from my evening. I actually sold a bracelet! I made $8!! Now all I need is another $272 for the car payment!! (don’t worry, Tribe if we get the unemployment Mon or Tues I’ll be able to make it with a little help from savings).

The Dragon was busy tonight, had 5 beaders, which is highly unusual. I don’t mind though, the more the merrier.

I’ll go along with the HHGttG being 6.333 books. I just remember when the 4th one came out it was marketed as the next book in a trilogy, then listed the three previous books. LOL!

Oh, I am trying to get one of my vehicles started and moved out in the driveway. Needs a battery! I have a vehicle I need to replace a water pump on tomorrow for a customer. Yes it’s cold here too! 23 degrees!!

Brrr, you’re probably out trying to get the car moved right now so I may miss you as I’ll be wrapping up in 10 to 15 minutes, but 23F!!! Ouch . We’re getting down to about 34F tonight. Many blankets as my hubby loves cold weather
