Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Man Dusty, you suck at poker. You couldn’t even let that blasted oven mitt have it!
Good morning all! Terry I think I’ll try this food thing for breakfast. See how that works.
Good Morning Terry, WoodEye, Marg, JFri and Johnny!Goodnight Marg! Goodnight JFri! Goodnight Johnny!
I’m just doing a quick run through the toons. My eyelids are getting very heavy. Goodnight Terry!Tabby, I saw your post from last night about the Great Divide. I bought some at the store yesterday. Homemade vanilla and Dutch chocolate, yum!!
LONEWOLF You have not helped my diet this week,
Oh well, might as well finish with a bang. Nuc coffee with high calorie cream please.
Morning TRIBE! Time to deal with the IRS and postdate my check.
I’m off to bed. I’ll just help myself to a Krispy Kream. Thank you Quaby.
Lonewolf - What I meant by I BE GOOD was that I actually thought it was hilarious (although that one comment was kind of confusing), and I was having a hard time not LOLing or blowing raspberries. Which while entertaining for me probably wouldn’t have been a good idea.
BTW - I’ve been censored twice, I’m surprised they left it up more than 36 hours and then censored.(I showed my daughter this afternoon because I knew she would LOL).
Cleo - I had pizza too : )
yyyguy - Thank you for the thank you. I was sorry to read about your mom. I once read that randomly giving someone flowers (or something else they like) for no apparent reason is a great way to help make someone happy. It’s worked for me, and the cost really isn’t important just the sentiment. (Don’t get caught sharing the flask with your dad : ) )
SIR Lew - Thanks for leaking Doc’s secret recipe! Ah ha ha ha haaaaaa!
Rmom - I really like your avatar, is that your kids?
Busy trying to do stuff this morning. Son’s lease is up on 3/31 and he’s moving in. I’ve got to get my stuff out of the way by first part of March so he can start planning what to keep, what to store and what to pitch. Which means I have to pitch.
I have many, many TY beanie baby cats. I’m going to have to thin out the collection.
About an hour until lunch…or brunch for you WC guys. I have fried shrimp, home-made french fries, cocktail sauce with assorted kool-aid type beverages and ice cream for dessert. I’ll ring the dinner bell, but I thought I’d get you guys salivating. I know I am!
Quaby - It is nice to be able to go on my computer in my room. Also, makes it easier to keep track of my daughter and she has to be social if I’m in here when she’s online ( :
Dry Good morning! Apparently, Dusty has been reading comments on the other strips and took the “Run away!” seriously.
One of these days, I’m going to have to get here early enough to take the crew on a Chartered bus to Trappers Kettle for their breakfast buffet, amid all sorts of kitchy authentic Western frontier decor.
so the living room floor is now clean. :0) go me. dishes washed go me again. no a ton of other things to do.
quaby was it you who asked for me to come clean your house? trust me i have seen some crazy things. my mother has 3 dogs and a cat in the house they eat everythign in site inclueds the table, countertop, etc. i have seen mess. trust me.
well im going wash my hands for like the million time, cleaner smell on them, then im gonna find some food. food is good. :0)
Was it here yesterday that there was talk about cross-posting? I remember not only cross-posting with someone at least once, but doing it simultaneously on two different comics! Now that was fun!
Okay, guys. I’d like some suggestions. I’ve been told that men crave respect from their wives, more than they want to be loved. Assuming that to be true in my husband’s case, I decided I’d make him a Valentine’s Day card that says “I respect you, let me count the ways” and list as many ways as I can come up with. I’ve come up with several items for my list, but figure I’m probably overlooking something(s).
Any thoughts?
Once again, white stuff is falling from the sky. We had a lot of rain yesterday, so it’s only a matter of time until we have ICE. Since part of the back yard is currently Lake Moxie, it should be “interesting.”
I’m in Norfolk, VA. It’s the southeast coast, so we’re not getting the big snow that Northern VA and DC got, but any snow around here is trouble. We did get about 6 inches last weekend.
I don’t know what to tell you Rmom, since I do not know your husband. Maybe something about strength of character, ability to smile in the face of adversity or face of absurdity, or always putting a spin on the bright side of any situation. Any of that fit.
Ha, ha, how about how he shows his son how not to drive on a snowy road.
Rmom, let’s see: respect for
ability to open jars?
fix things?
protect the home
character
self-control–give situation
presence
humor
whatever you think of when you think of him
Thanks, Cleo & bmonk!
At least you’ve given me some ideas - I will have to modify the one about the parking brake driving lesson, I think. snerk!
But I am thankful that he decided to be the one to teach our boys to drive. I’ve found that I’m not very good at riding in a car when I’m not confident of the driver’s competence! So, see, cleo, that was a helpful suggestion, even if it made us both LOL!
Boy it sure is quiet, no comments in 2 hours. The paints consultant has left and my wife has left to buy the paint. Gosh I will be glad when this is all over. Projects, I am sick of projects.
Cleo - I can understand. I had to quit reading the “Family Handyman” magazine, because I kept getting ideas for projects around the house. Maybe you can figure out where LilG gets her ideas, and stop the inspirations?
It is quiet.
LuvH8 hello. I love recipe books and as much as I love dessert, I can avoid them. I recently bought Mario Batali’s book Molto Italiano and there has not been one recipe so far that hasn’t been superb and we have probably made 10 to 15 so far. Great book. I like going to the library and checking out cookbooks and have bought some of them after trying the recipe books. My favorite bread baking book started out as a loan from the library.
Cleo I have been considering trying to make my own bread (have bought yeast), my Gma has a breadmaker just sitting in the pantry. What is the name of your favorite breadmaking book? The other recipes tempt me too, but most of those are a lot healthier.
Usually I create food rather than use recipes. Much to the frustration of anyone who wants to know how I made something!
I tend to avoid crowds, I live about 20 minutes from downtown Portland. I like the Arboretium (excuse my spelling if incorrect) located near our Zoo, most anyplace on the coast, The Hillsboro Main library (books, movies, internet, music & coffee all in one place) It also backs up into a great walking park.
the baking book I most like is not a book for a breadmaker, but one could probably be used. It is called “Artisan Bread in Five Minutes A Day” by Jeff Hertzberg and Zoe Francois. They have a new one out that I also have which I believe is called “Healthy Bread in Five Minutes A Day”.
Thank you Cleo, I’ve never used the breadmaker and probably would prefer to do it by scratch. Bread kneading frustration therapy. But it is there just not being used and it seems like kind of a waste.
Hey Cleo I don’t suppose you have any nonalcoholic Irish Cream Whiskey? I’ve never heard of it but am ever hopeful. I know they make nondairy Irish Creamer, but they are so full of chemicals and are weak in flavor to boot.
I am not doing any painting in the living room. We have contracted this out and they begin Monday at 9AM. Our new couch and love seat are sitting at the furniture store waiting to be delivered. I want it to be next weekend with everything done and in place. And… I want to like the paint choices that we have made.
BTW - I don’t drink because I think it tastes YUCKY! And also alcoholism runs in my family, so it didn’t seem like a good idea to aquire a taste for it. And now I can’t drink because of some of the medications I take.
So, I just want to make sure nobody thinks I’m going to get all judgemental about their enjoying an alcoholic beverage (or ten).
Tabby took the “Which Golden Girl Are You?” quiz and the result is Sophia Petrillo.
Mama Mia! You are the one your friends see as the mother hen, always protective of her roost. You are the one who has the shoulder to cry on, the sound advice to offer, and can say just the right thing at just the right time (i.e. “screw him!”). You are the first to coo…k up a delicious spread for your friends when they need some extra TLC. You are the voice of reason and the pillar of support. You are sassy and take no bull, but deep down you are a big softy that everyone needs and loves. You may be a little nuerotic (ever feel like you can’t leave your purse anywhere?), but that is easily overlooked for the wonderful friend you are.
Yes do my neighbors place. I have a rental on the other side. You may be able to escape a sushi knife if you paint there. Just tell them that Dave sent you.
Hello Tabby, I am awaiting a call to join my wife for seafood risotto and I am really hungry. Are you a Superbowl fan and will you be watching? I want to know if I am the only one, other than Doc to be missing the game. With Doc it is intentional, but I would love to watch the game, but not enough to get cable or go to a sports bar.
Dave is the fellow who owns the rental house. If you 4 mention his name, there is no reason to think that you can not go berserk inside. My name may be mud afterwards, but they have a dog that howls anyways.
We have been having fun with our Ipod and computer, typing in a song title and having a playlist created. All the songs are usually of the same genre and so much better than shuffle. Computers are amazing.
My wife handles the details, I need to get her to show me how. She has three Apple Ipods, the shuffle, the nano & the Ipod, all for different functions.
Cleo - I won’t be watching the game either. Don’t care to, and we’d have to go somewhere, because we can’t get it here. My hubby is so not a sports fan, that I had to laugh tonight. We were at our favorite restaurant, and one of the co-owners had on a Kansas University shirt. My hubby asked me if they were going to be in the Super Bowl.
Tabby, I like both songs that you put on here. The first song was played for hours over and over one day on a local station when we lived in Texas. The reason was that the station, which was a classic rock station was changing it’s format to some kind of boring music station. Everybody was bummed about that.
I do like Travis, but I think “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive” is my fav.
whats funny is that i say “Hey dad” he says “hey” i start talking he falls asleep. he didnt hear a word of it. the house COULD HAVE BEEN burning down or something and he wouldnt know it.
Hello Carmy I haven’t talked to you in awhile. This is one winter when I am glad that we did not spend the money to go to Southern Texas. We have been blessed.
@Tabby, I can remember when “American Pie” blew out the top of the chart. IIRC, the “day the music died” was Feb 3, 1959, not long before I was hatched, and they were heading towards Fargo, Dakota, when they crashed…
bmonk, did you see The Buddy Holly movie and/or La Bamba? I saw both, but I think I liked the Buddy Holly movie better. Gary Busey is a bit cuckoo right now, but he was really good as Buddy.
Ana is supposed to be coming spend the night. tonight, not sure whats going in its been almost an hour since they called to tel me she was almost home and going bathe her.
so i made ana a bed on the floor she has about 3 blankets to lay on and one soft furry one to cover with and 2 pillows to choose from. yet i feel bad. oh and did i mention she has all the stuffed toys she wants and a cup of milk and her favorite movie on. still i feel bad for putting her on the floor is it a shame that i want to sleep without her kicking me in my bruses?
Carmy, it’s a GREAT song!! Great beat and a lot of fun!! Of course, I first heard it during a summer adventure with my best friend of the time and we both just thought it was a fun song.
We beat Seattle 6-3 AGAIN!! (That was the score against them last night)
When one door closes, another door opens but sometimes you may get stuck in the hallway for a little while. Just think positive and be ready for opportunity.

“Oh. My. Gawd.
“I wandered into the kitchen, half asleep, and made a cup of instant coffee, took a swallow.
“The frying noise you hear is my eyeballs.
“I’d absently picked up a soupspoon, not a teaspoon. Can we say overdose?”
Doc, I think we need to send over some of your coffee to help him recover…
And get the recipe for you when your coffee maker breaks down or goes on strike.

celeconecca about 15 years ago
@bunnyface(bmonk) That is a beautiful picture.
re: instant coffee All I can picture is the instant oil slick that forms on the surface. The aftertaste didn’t bother me, as long as it wasn’t decaf.

Gosh it has been a nice day, but unfortunately the only chance that I got to enjoy it was on my bike ride.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
cleo can i have a dr. pepper insetd of BOOKERS?
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Thank you Cleo, I’ve never used the breadmaker and probably would prefer to do it by scratch. Bread kneading frustration therapy. But it is there just not being used and it seems like kind of a waste.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Tabby, cute kitty.
johnnydoc5 about 15 years ago
Good evening all! Had to work a bit later tonight because the guy who was supposed to come in for me forgot he had to work. Oh well.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Cleo thanks! i love it can you read it can you can you can you? hehe
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
jdoc how are you doing bro?
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Hey Cleo I don’t suppose you have any nonalcoholic Irish Cream Whiskey? I’ve never heard of it but am ever hopeful. I know they make nondairy Irish Creamer, but they are so full of chemicals and are weak in flavor to boot.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Good Evening Johnnydoc5
Tabby Lynn I am probably cross posting, but what does it say? I think the middle word is everywhere.
johnnydoc5 about 15 years ago
I am tired Tabby, but this college life won’t let me slow down, so I am heading out again. Peace and love all!

cleokaya about 15 years ago
Hello Shika my dear. How are you this fine evening?
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
Hi Tabby I thought you’d never leave! LOL I see my Shika-ness has rubbed off on you.
Hi cleo I am doing well. We had a lovely sunny day. I was busy for most of it, and I have work tonight too, but I’m doing well.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
shika lol I KNEW IT!
Dads home now so i HAVE TO GO!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
I am not doing any painting in the living room. We have contracted this out and they begin Monday at 9AM. Our new couch and love seat are sitting at the furniture store waiting to be delivered. I want it to be next weekend with everything done and in place. And… I want to like the paint choices that we have made.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Good Evening Shika!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
I may have to chain *Dry, JFri, Tabby & Carmy * out in my chain link dog compound though. Cleo is gone so they can share her dog house.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Gosh Cleo, picky picky!
So no nonalcoholic Irish Cream Whiskey? I guess I’ll just help myself to some of Doc’s Nuclear coffee with just a spash of chocolate syrup.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
Hi LuvH8 I was off reading the comics. I’ve been out all day, and now I’ve got homework.
Bye Tabby! Are you really gone this time?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
JFri, Tabby, Carmy, Cleo Doesn’t trust out paint job! :-( I wonder if his neighbor needs anymore work done?
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
I don’t get today’s strip. Did Dusty have a Royal Flush ahnd, or a Royal Flush face?
Birdbrains was funny today.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
Hi Dry! I say just go ahead and paint the neighbour’s house. cleo will be sorry he didn’t let you paint his place.
:-D
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
BBL
RL is yelling at me right now.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Hello Dry - maybe if you give Cleo enough Bookers, he’ll let you paint anything you want.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Bye, hope you all have a good evening!
carmy about 15 years ago
Paint? Can’t I just hurl a can of paint toward the wall?
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Tabby took the “Which Golden Girl Are You?” quiz and the result is Sophia Petrillo. Mama Mia! You are the one your friends see as the mother hen, always protective of her roost. You are the one who has the shoulder to cry on, the sound advice to offer, and can say just the right thing at just the right time (i.e. “screw him!”). You are the first to coo…k up a delicious spread for your friends when they need some extra TLC. You are the voice of reason and the pillar of support. You are sassy and take no bull, but deep down you are a big softy that everyone needs and loves. You may be a little nuerotic (ever feel like you can’t leave your purse anywhere?), but that is easily overlooked for the wonderful friend you are.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Carmy i like your idea of painting lets do it!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
HI SHIKA!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
we were SUPPOSED to go bowling tonight or tomorrow after church, well neither is gonna happen it seems. :0( now tabby is sad.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
bored!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Yes do my neighbors place. I have a rental on the other side. You may be able to escape a sushi knife if you paint there. Just tell them that Dave sent you.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Cleo okay, lets go for it…. waite a min, whos this Dave fellow?
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Hello Tabby, I am awaiting a call to join my wife for seafood risotto and I am really hungry. Are you a Superbowl fan and will you be watching? I want to know if I am the only one, other than Doc to be missing the game. With Doc it is intentional, but I would love to watch the game, but not enough to get cable or go to a sports bar.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Cleo i wont be watching it im sure. dads not into it all.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
love this song
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Dave is the fellow who owns the rental house. If you 4 mention his name, there is no reason to think that you can not go berserk inside. My name may be mud afterwards, but they have a dog that howls anyways.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
cleo ah so hes our scape goat?
cleokaya about 15 years ago
I love that song and it brings back many good memories.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Yep, paint away.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
I love old music. i dont remember much from when i was little, but i remember the music i grew up listening to.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
GREATNESS!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
We have been having fun with our Ipod and computer, typing in a song title and having a playlist created. All the songs are usually of the same genre and so much better than shuffle. Computers are amazing.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
thats a great idea if only i knew how to work my mp3 like that. lol
cleokaya about 15 years ago
My wife handles the details, I need to get her to show me how. She has three Apple Ipods, the shuffle, the nano & the Ipod, all for different functions.
Off to dinner. toodloo.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
later cleo. tell her to teach me how to work mine as well
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
i used to live by [this song]9http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnrhH1ZlfHo)
dont know what happened to that
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
any body home?
Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
Cleo - I won’t be watching the game either. Don’t care to, and we’d have to go somewhere, because we can’t get it here. My hubby is so not a sports fan, that I had to laugh tonight. We were at our favorite restaurant, and one of the co-owners had on a Kansas University shirt. My hubby asked me if they were going to be in the Super Bowl.
carmy about 15 years ago
Tabby, I like both songs that you put on here. The first song was played for hours over and over one day on a local station when we lived in Texas. The reason was that the station, which was a classic rock station was changing it’s format to some kind of boring music station. Everybody was bummed about that. I do like Travis, but I think “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive” is my fav.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Carmy that is one of my favs. by travis as well
carmy about 15 years ago
LMBO, Rmom! The first time I watched a football game with my husband, I had to explain EVERYTHING to him.
carmy about 15 years ago
Travis is cool, Tabby!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
whats funny is that i say “Hey dad” he says “hey” i start talking he falls asleep. he didnt hear a word of it. the house COULD HAVE BEEN burning down or something and he wouldnt know it.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Carmy my bro used to hate football. i love it. i started him on it. hehe
carmy about 15 years ago
Poor Dad, he must be really tired, Tabby.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Oooh! I like coming to the Big Top when there are a lot of ladies present. WooHoo! Hello my sweets!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
cleo LOL sent u something funny
Carmy he’ll live. lol
carmy about 15 years ago
Hello Cleo!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
I can not believe that JFri missed out on a Booker”s happy hour. He is slipping. That’s okay, I drank his share
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Tabby that should be posted beside my front door.

tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Cleo knew you would love it!
i didnt even remember bookerse hour and i was NOT drinking
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Hello Carmy I haven’t talked to you in awhile. This is one winter when I am glad that we did not spend the money to go to Southern Texas. We have been blessed.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
bmonk mine is in my bedroom waiting for tonight when Ana wont sleep
cleokaya about 15 years ago
bunnyface, yes but you need to turn your pages, with my Booker’s I need to be turned.
Movie time.
bmonk about 15 years ago
@Tabby, I can remember when “American Pie” blew out the top of the chart. IIRC, the “day the music died” was Feb 3, 1959, not long before I was hatched, and they were heading towards Fargo, Dakota, when they crashed…
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Bunnyface i love that song and its odd that i would post it a few days after music died
carmy about 15 years ago
bmonk, did you see The Buddy Holly movie and/or La Bamba? I saw both, but I think I liked the Buddy Holly movie better. Gary Busey is a bit cuckoo right now, but he was really good as Buddy.
bmonk about 15 years ago
@Carmy, that’s better than the song a local station chose to play 24 hours straight when they switched format–this one!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Ana is supposed to be coming spend the night. tonight, not sure whats going in its been almost an hour since they called to tel me she was almost home and going bathe her.
carmy about 15 years ago
Yikes, bmonk! I couldn’t even hear that once.
bmonk about 15 years ago
Of course, neither one is nearly as annoying as this one!
bmonk about 15 years ago
Carmy, nope, but I remember La Bamba being played on the radio… albeit not the first time.
carmy about 15 years ago
Ick, bmonk, that one not only hurt my ears, it hurt my eyes also.
bmonk about 15 years ago
Yikes! is it really twenty to ten? I’d better go! Later, ‘gators! While, ‘diles!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
bbl going get Ana
carmy about 15 years ago
I’ve been listening to Stevie and Lindsey on another tab. It’s almost 8 minutes long, hence the separate tab.
bmonk about 15 years ago
I still remember Loeb’s “I do”.
carmy about 15 years ago
Bye bmonk! I saw Gary Busey on a Christian station and he is the first one I heard say that BIBLE stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.
carmy about 15 years ago
Loeb’s got some good tunes.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Cleo I suspect JFri may be at a hockey game! You know him and hockey!

tabbylynn about 15 years ago

The Duke 1 about 15 years ago
Dry, hockey game is away tonight in Seattle. We lead 5-3 in the 3rd. If we win tonight we lead the series against Seattle 10-0!!
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Hello Tribe!
I’m back from pool. Who is still around. :^)
The team had a good day!
carmy about 15 years ago
JFri, really? I’ve heard that song before, I think it’s annoying. Hi Tabby, sorry you can’t hear the tunes right now. BBL!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Jfri may i ask you a question?
The Duke 1 about 15 years ago
Keep On Dancing
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
so i made ana a bed on the floor she has about 3 blankets to lay on and one soft furry one to cover with and 2 pillows to choose from. yet i feel bad. oh and did i mention she has all the stuffed toys she wants and a cup of milk and her favorite movie on. still i feel bad for putting her on the floor is it a shame that i want to sleep without her kicking me in my bruses?
Quabaculta about 15 years ago
Hello Tribe
I just got home…had to do the grocery shopping after the Dragon. Too much going on tomorrow. It was flooding rain Friday when I usually go.
So close to turnover, but so tired. So I drop off the Krispy Kreams and bid the Tribe Good night.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
JFRI, I HAS A QUESTION FOR YOU!
The Duke 1 about 15 years ago

tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Jfri what is a DAN test?
” DAN test on the straw coming out of it!! ;-D”
The Duke 1 about 15 years ago
Carmy, it’s a GREAT song!! Great beat and a lot of fun!! Of course, I first heard it during a summer adventure with my best friend of the time and we both just thought it was a fun song.
We beat Seattle 6-3 AGAIN!! (That was the score against them last night)
The Duke 1 about 15 years ago
Tabby, it is a SURE sign that I was heavily into cleo’s Bookers!!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
JFri i thought so! LOL i could NOT pass up a chance like that. sorry
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Could it be true? Could she be sleeping? is it safe to even think that? shut up tabby’s brain stop thinking it!!
The Duke 1 about 15 years ago
It’s OK Tabby!!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Jfri LOL good one, i can read titles!

COWBOY7 about 15 years ago

When one door closes, another door opens but sometimes you may get stuck in the hallway for a little while. Just think positive and be ready for opportunity.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago

tabbylynn about 15 years ago
tabby is gonna stand in the middle of the livingroom screaming & throwing toys while the kids r trying 2 watch spongebob & c how they like it!
